Virat Kohli breaks silence, speaks about Anushka Sharma
26-year-old Virat Kohli, who always maintains silence whenever he was asked question about Anushka Sharma, finally broke his silence. This time the young cricketer spoke about his family, the sudden demise of his father and his lady love. While speaking about Anushka, Virat quoted as saying, "I'd give my life for those dear to me. I'm protective about everybody close to me, make no mistake."
During an interview with a news TV channel, the Vice Captain of Team India, finally spoke about his feelings and what upset him. He said that reactions of his fans following Team India's defeat in the ICC World Cup 2015 semi-final against Australia disturbed him.
He was upset when many people burnt Anushka's effigy blaming her for Virat's poor performance in that match. The cricketer also clarified that he and Anushka want to maintain privacy when it comes on their relationship.
"Do let some things remain in my private space... Anushka and I care for each other and respect each other," said Virat while he was asked about his future planning involving Anushka. The young cricketer also spoke about his family and their struggle in Delhi. During the interview, Virat was quoted as saying, "...everything I do is keeping them (family members) in mind. I want them to be proud and happy. That my father isn't around is a huge, huge regret." Virat, who currently is busy playing Indian Premier League (IPL), is the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). His team has been struggling as the team has won only one match in the tournament so far.

It is more than 2 years since Virender Sehwag donned the India jersey. The dashing opener, who thrilled fans all across the globe, has revealed the real reason behind his lack of runs at the international level and now wants to play for the national team again and "retire gracefully".

Sehwag, who is currently playing for Kings XI Punjub (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament (IPL 8), told "The Indian Express" newspaper that due to eyesight problems he was not the same batsman as earlier. Relying more on hand-eye co-ordination, Sehwag amassed over 16,000 runs at the international level. The 36-year-old Sehwag last played for India in 2013. Sehwag explained how he started to experience eye problems in Australia and England tours in 2011. "I had a problem when I was on the England tour and the Australia tour (both 2011). Because of my eyesight, I had headaches and a lot of eye pain. I was seeing a lot of doctors also. In England and Australia, after every Test match I was going to eye-specialists and every time they were telling me that my eyes are absolutely fine," Sehwag told the newspaper in an interview. "The doctors would say, "You are getting headaches because of migraine". After the Australia series in India, I saw my family doctor, Dr Harsh Kumar. He told me that I don't have an eye problem but I have power of minus 0.5. 'Mujhe door ka problem hai' (Problem seeing things far away). Then he gave me glasses and it took almost a year to adjust to them. And now I am batting well, scoring runs. Everybody wants to play for India. Hopefully I will get a chance to play for India again and retire gracefully. I'll try my best," he added.
Sehwag started using spectacles in February 2013. And his first international series in the new-look was against Australia same month. "Yes. 2013 and 2014. Because we were in Australia 2011-12. After that tour I felt like there was something missing," Sehwag said when asked about him failing to pick the ball during batting. The Delhi right-hander also explained how contact lenses did not suit him. "I tried plenty (contact lenses). But it didn't suit me. Somehow I was not comfortable with them. I batted with contact lenses in the IPL while playing for Delhi Daredevils. I wasn't picking the ball early. So I went back to the glasses. If I can pick the ball early, I can react and score runs. I was worried. "I have to pick early, I have to pick early", I would tell myself. With glasses, I think it's fine."
